Got me some yellow skinnies! YAY.
I have been after a pair of yellow jeans for a while, and I just happened to be in Miss Selfridges en route to Topshop (the Oxford Street stores interjoin, amaze) when I saw these bad boys. They caught my eye due to the fact they are such a lovely soft yellow, reminds me of something yummy!
They are very similar in fit/style to Topshops 'Baxters' but are slightly less high waisted, much softer and they fit like a dream. I am serious considering purchasing them in lilac too.
But how many candy coloured skinnies does a girl need?
Tee - H&M
Skinnies - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - ASOS
Cuff - H&M
Clutch - Topshop
I also went for some super fast nail art on my nails.
Rings - ASOS & River Island
Now in reference to buying skinnies in every candy colour I see, do we think that candy colours will be 'done' by S/S 2013? Or will I get a justifiable amount of use out of them?
Over and out.

Wishing S/S 2011
Budgeting is hard.
Especially when hints of the new seasons clothing & accessories are beginning to pop up.
Especially, especially when the following rules apply:
Especially when hints of the new seasons clothing & accessories are beginning to pop up.
Especially, especially when the following rules apply:
- If you see something that you love/want in your size in the following stores Topshop, ASOS, River Island, Zara, you cannot wait for payday, you cannot wait and 'think' about it, you must buy now, or forever trawl eBay in vain hoping that someone might be selling said item for a reasonable price.
- By the time the British weather decides that it might like to be 'hot' for one day, all the stores will have there A/W stock in.
- Or we'll have a freak heat wave in April/May and you won't have bought anything to wear yet.
It makes it 10 times harder when I'm off on holiday next month to somewhere hot, and actually have a reason to purchase bikinis and summer dresses, but don't have the funds.
Still I've spent the day sorting out a few bits and bobs to sell on eBay. I'll link once I've put them up in case you want a nosey. I'm feeling that with the combined sales of these said bits, I might be able to afford one or two of the pieces below that I'm currently coveting.
1. Rodial Skinny Beach Stick - I use the Glamtox sticks last year and they were super effective. These are said to give you a 'slim, toned, ready-to-tan body'. Reviews are pretty good, and they are on offer at the moment. I really, really want to try these before my holidays.
2. River Island Pink Print Bikini top. Super cute pattern, plus bandeau's flatter my non-chest. Probably would just make do with the top and match it with some plain black bottoms, I prefer mix and matching my bikinis. I am under the deluded impression it makes my torso looker, and thus slimmer. Ha
3. Topshop MOTO High Waisted Sorbet Jamie Jeans - MUST get a pair of sorbet colour skinnies this season. Mint or peach would be fab. I like Topshop jeans as they generally fit well, and on a good day I can squeeze myself into a size 25 waist, uncomfortable, but worth it.
4. ASOS Cut Out One Piece - I'm fascinated by all the different cut-out swimsuits that are around at the moment. But as I have no boobs, they are pretty much a no go. I'm thinking a low v-style might not look too bad, plus I love black and white stripes and the style of the back on this is cute.
5. Ray-Ban Emma Sunglasses - I have a couple of Ray-Ban Aviators but the thin wire and design of them is a nightmare at the pool, wet hair gets tangled in them like nobody's business. I was tempted to get a pair of Wayfarers last year, but I think these are a little bit different, and slightly cheaper!
6. ASOS Leath and Suede Satchel - I'd love a satchel style bag and as I don't think a Mulberry Alexa is going to materialise for me this year, this is a pretty lovely alternative. No?
7. River Island Light Green Peep Toes - And lastly, I don't think I can go on without these. I just adore them. What a pop of colour they'd add. And how super, duper amazing would they look with a tan. And how appropriate would they be on my holiday to Ibiza that I accidentally just booked? Le Sigh.
Anyone else got S/S in there sights?

Meep
Most of my time lately has been spent working, eating mince pies, going to the gym to work off the mince pies and online shopping. I'm pretty much done and dusted with my all Christmas shopping, just waiting for the last few bits to arrive in the post and debating whether or not I love my boyfriend enough to buy him another present.
Here is a very simple and boring outfit that I wore a few weeks ago for a friends birthday.
I wasn't really feeling the dress or my hair and it bothered my so much that I didn't end up having a good time and went home early! Lame
Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Carvela Kurt Keiger
Bag - Kurt Keiger
Rings - ASOS & River Island
Bruise - Model's own! I swear I am always covered in random bruises - this ones a biggy too!
I am also show-casing what I purchased using my £25 KG gift card. I also managed to get a sneaky discount too so this bag cost me the grand total of £1.50. But I'll be honest I wouldn't have paid much more. I order it from the website because of the fact the colours matched my dress, but when it came I was very disappointed, it's basically just a fabric make up bag! Still, it did the trick and I can't gripe for that little money.
Hope everyone is well. I just hit the 100 followers mark which is nice :), thanks for taking the time to read and follow my blog and I apologise for my sporadic posting skills!

Vapid Blonde
How dumb do I look in this first picture?
Not sure what look I was going for, but I fit the poster girl for dumb blondes everywhere!
Just a boring outfit, for a little dinner date with the in-laws, well, not really the in-laws, but maybe they will be one day....
Jumper - River Island
Vest top (underneath) - Primark
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Steve Madden
Bag - Mulberry
Ring - Topshop
Love me these coloured jeans, little bit harder to work with coloured skinnies, as opposed to normal jeans, but I think it's worth it.
On another note please go and watch Tamara Ecclestone's new programme on Channel 5. Great watching. She comes across so badly in the first episode, but redeems herself slightly in the second, but mainly it's all about her freakin' Birkin collection. Jesus I'm jealous.

Scared fur real!
How difficult is it to take decent pictures now it gets dark at like 3pm?
Anyway Sunday was a horrible dark and cold day and I would have been quite content to stay in my pj's all day, but I dragged myself into the shower and put together this shoddy attempt at an outfit to go see Paranormal Activity 3. Which was awesome, but hideous at the same time. I love scary movies, but I also hate them. Me and my friend were huddled up together behind our coats the whole bloody film, but I'm like 'yeah, that was so good', even though I missed half of it!
The most important thing was that I managed to get my daily dose of Starbuck's now the Christmas lattes are out - grande soya gingerbread latte for me please! And I also had my first mince pie of the season. All very exciting.
Anyway, the main aim of this outfit was to be warm - as I don't yet own a decent winter coat, nor will I probably ever own a decent winter coat - layering is key, although I did also put on a black (p)leather jacket on before I ventured out.
Jumper & Jeans - Topshop
Black vest (just seen) - H&M
Shoes - ASOS
Bag - Focco c/o eBay
Fur stole - Vintage c/o Grandma
Please don't hate when I say this fur stole is real. I got back from holiday a few weeks ago and found 3 of these in different colours in my room. Basically my mum had helped to clear out my Grandma's loft and they'd found these stoles, which she thought I would like. I would never, ever buy real fur but I guess because these must be at least 40 years old it seems a shame to just chuck them out. They are gorgeously soft and lovely colours. I'm slightly scared when I wear them out I'll get paint thrown over me or something. Morally it still feels a bit wrong, but it seems silly considering they are so old.
Please don't hate!
What would you do in this situation?

Blazin' Up
I've wanted a blazer for as long as I can remember but for some reason I just cannot pull them off. However, I had a bit of spare time whilst queueing for the new iPhone (sad I know) and popped into ol' Topshop for a browse. My intention was to look for a pair of shorts but I randomly came across this blazer, threw it on and ran to the till with it as fast as my little trotters could go.
Not sure why it looks better that all the rest I've tried on? The price? I mean £65? What the hell Topshop, it had better suit me for that price! Or maybe the size? It's a 6, which I wouldn't usually go for but they didn't have an 8 so i just really tried it on a whim. Boy am I glad though, me and my blazer are best friends now.
So obviously I broke it out that night.

Dress - Rare @ Topshop

Hmmm OD'ed on Topshop again.
Me and my friend hit up London, got terribly, terribly drunk, staggered to the train to get home, my friend ran off the train at some random station to vomit everywhere, couldn't get back on the train in time, so it left me riding off on the train alone and her on a random platform alone. Happily no-one got raped or murdered and we both live to tell the tale, albeit with huge hangovers.
The moral of the story kids, don't drink.

Wind whine
Quick outfit of the day. Just been for some lunch with my friend and little mooch around the shops. Super stoked I finally managed to do a fishtail braid! Only took about 10 attempts......
The hat was kind of an accident, I just wore it to tie it into the bag (which I didn't actually use anyway!) that I wanted to wear. But boy am I glad I did, sooooo windy today. Massive lipgloss/hair failure! Which could have been 100% worse if it weren't for the hat!
Top, jeans, necklace - Topshop
Shoes - ASOS
Rings - ASOS & Topshop
Hat - Miss Selfridge
Bag - eBay (here) I hate the fact that it's blatant knock-off attempt but it's actually pretty good quality and super cheap!
Must dash, this cake and a cup of tea is calling!
Hope you lovies are all ok.

On the wrong track
Couldn't really resist breaking out the wedges!
Unfortunately this outfit was meant to be worn for going out in Covent Garden with a friend. But someone decided to jump in front of a train, so I actually spent 2 hours sitting on a train to London that was at a standstill. Then was made to get off the train at some random station with no trains running. Until eventually I managed to find a train that could take me back home. All very stressful and I will not go into what I think of people who decided to take there own life in front of a train on a Friday evening rush hour.
I did manage to met my friend in my home town for a Mexican though, so all was not lost.

No shame
I'm terrible at updating, but I've been feeling pretty rough lately. I'm thinking I might having another attack of glandular fever. Anyway I am about to attempt to drag my fat ass to the gym for the first time in about a month so I'm posting this outfit picture from about 2 months ago!
I've said before that I'm not a sale lover.
However I was in River Island in search of a skirt in the non-sale items. But while I was there, I walked past the sale skirt section to find a long black, light woollen maxi skirt. £12. Not only did it look super comfy, I am also in a maxi skirt phase. I grabbed it without trying it on, at least if it didn't look good I could throw it over a bikini on holiday.
Pretty pleased with the impulse buy, except, it is ridiculously see-through! So bad in the light. Unfortuantly I have no shame so just stroll out wearing some big knickers/shorts underneath. Can't win em' all, ay?
Top - Topshop

Fell into Topshop....
I wore this a couple of sunny Saturdays ago when my boyfriend and I went into the country and ate at this gorgeous gastro pub. Pretty views and a warm evening, it was lovely.
Unintentionally my whole outfit was 'al la Topshop' but the bright colours and my trusty jeans (that are in dire need of replacing) made me smile.
As always I apologise for the picture quality, the light was terrible!

Swagger Jagger
I love maxi skirts/dresses. They're all swishy swishy when I walk, makes me feel glam. However, being 5ft 6' with stupid long legs, I'm just over average height, meaning that lots of maxi's are just that little too short. So I'm always on the hunt for a extra long styles!
I originally got this skirt a few months ago from H&M but found it a bit difficult to style, so it kind of got left. Anyway I picked it up the other day and had a go.
This is the outfit I came up with
Maxi skirt - H&M
Vest - Topshop
Belt - Primark
Jacket - Topshop
Sandals - KG
Bag - Louis Vuitton
Because it was a little longer I was able to wear it on my waist. By wearing the skirt a little higher and using a waist belt I totally felt like I had some curves. I'll admit that I walked around with a lil' hip swagger. Ha.
Excuse my make-up, it was after a long day. I look a bit 'moon faced'!

Gettin' my kicks, Sugar!
Finally managed to take a picture of me in an actual outfit. I seriously suck at getting pictures!
Went to Sugarhut this weekend. Treated myself to some new kicks.
I love them.
River Island - Love of my life. Stupidly high, surprisingly not too uncomfortable!
Anyway it was a bit of fallen-in-love-with-the-shoes-now-must-find-dress-to-match jobby. Topshop was my last hope. The dress is from there Love consession and whilst I probably wouldn't have chosen it if it weren't for the shoe match, it served its purposed nicely and the orange colour suited my complex rather well.
Do, however ignore the fact that quite possibly my tan on my chest may match the orangness of the dress. WAIT. I can explain, I can explain!!! Unfortunately I managed to get burnt the other week, fake tanned as usual and then my chest started to peel like mad. I thought more fake tanning may help the situation, with an added dusting of bronzer. It did not. #FAIL

The Only Way....
I went to Sugar Hut last week for my birthday celebration (yes, I know I'll shut up about my birthday soon). You may have heard of it if you're a avid watcher of TOWIE - it's the club that Kirk's Dad owns in Essex.
Anyhoo, it's a pretty good place, almost like a big house with all these separate rooms filled with many, many Buddha's. Unfortuantly everyone and his mum now goes to Sugar Hut because of the show and the queue is massive - we queued for over an hour, it never used to be like that! Booo - it wasn't even that packed inside, I think they just make you queue for the hell of it!
Obviously I'm an idiot and didn't take any proper outfit pictures. But I've cropped a couple where you can sort of see my outfit, for your viewing pleasure.....
And yes, they do have a fully functioning piano in the club that they allow people like me to attempt to drape themselves over in a seductive way. There ain't nothing seductive about that picture folks, in fact I look like I'm a giant.
Dress - ASOS
Necklace - H&M

A pretty damn good night in my books.

My birthday presents, to myself...!
After I got Wah'd the other day I had some time to spare before meeting up with my boyfriend. So I partook in a little birthday indulgence.
I really needed to find something to wear for Saturday night clubbing but I actually had found a dress on ASOS that I'd ordered the night before. It was pretty cheap for £32 with a 20% discount and so I thought I'd better treat myself to a new pair of shoes. The dress I've ordered it this one, I'm hoping it will look good on. So I decided to try and get some coral/orange shoes to go with it.
Step up these beauties
I actually saw them online first and kind of just thought 'they'll do' but when I saw them in Topshop I was totally like 'OMG, got to have them'
I actually have the same shoes in black which I find really comfortable.
I will be totally devo'd if they don't match the dress or the dress is just plain horrible!
I did also buy another dress while I was in Toppers, but I don't have a picture of it at this moment in time.
I picked up this useful-but-not-very-exciting necklace too. I love a long chain and it will go with everything!

BORING!
I then toddled off to Selfridges I was after Peaches blush from MAC. But I totes forgot how much I hate the MAC in Selfridges, it's just really badly organised and you can never get any help. So I did a circle of the make-up stands and found this beaut from Nars - Gina
A fabulous matte peach/coral colour. I only realised the other day that most of my blushes have a shimmer in, I personally prefer shimmerless, especially for the day. So the matte-ness of this blush attracted me!
It's very pigmented so you have to blush with caution
Not a huge haul, but I was happy!

Acceptable in the 80's
Being an 80's child, I've always had a certain fondness for double denim. In-fact I remember being rather fond of it in the 90's too. Bootleg denim jeans and demin jacket anyone?
Rumour has it that double denim is doing it's rounds again. I think Heat had a page a week or so back with celebs wearing it.
I actually Googled this trend before I actually stepped foot outside in my ensamble, just to check I had read correctly....but apparently I did, so here is the outcome!
Shirt - River Island
Jeans - Topshop
Heels - Topshop
Bag - River Island
I think the trick to pulling off this look is making sure you wear a lighter denim on your top half. If not 100% convinced but I did actually wear this out so I guess I was happy enough! Unfortuantly the denim shirt I'm wearing here is more of a denim dress shirt, so it kind of buldged when I tucked it into the jeans! Oh well
Will you be trying out the double denim trend?

Wedding Belle
So I went to my friends wedding a couple of weeks ago.
I had a bit of a nightmare getting an outfit for it. You'd think that shops would be full of wedding appropriate attire at this time of year, but they weren't. In fact all the dresses I could find were cream or white, and we all know that's a cardinal wedding sin. Add this the the fact that it was a the beginning of April, pretty difficult to figure the weather out for! All in all making a difficult outfit choice!
Luckily it was a really lush day, not hot, but sunny and warm enough for champagne and canopies on the lawn.
I desperately wanted a colour dress but I couldn't find one anywhere (well, without spending a fortune) so this is what I made do with.
Dress - River Island
Cardi - Dorothy Perkins
Head piece - Topshop
Shoes - Loub's
The dress served it purpose, although it creased like a bitch! I can't see me wearing it again because it's too 'wedding' in my head, now I've worn it for one! The cardi was a t-shirt material and I had it for years, it was a really good length and kept me warm enough.
Now the head piece is the crazy part. Doesn't it look hilarious on my head? It almost reminds me of the mad hatter tea party! It's actually a metal headband with black flowers and netting stuck on. I tried it on, laughed a bit and left it, but when I bought my dress I decided to go back and get it as I couldn't be bothered to hunt a head piece down anywhere else. I got up to the till and it was reduced to £7 from £22 - utter bargain! My hair was a nightmare that day, I spent ages curling and pinning it so the curls would stay, I took the pins out at the last minute but for some reason the curls just fell out! There was no time to actually do anything with it so it looked like a stupid mess for the day! Waah
All in all it, a lovely day.
Boy do I have some bandy legs!!!
Oh and I apologise for the fact there just random shots and not actually outfit pictures!

Flasher
I've had this flasher style mac for years, I generally just wear it over dresses as I always find long coats/jackets look funny over trousers. I don't know why though.
I was also going to wear my black trilby with this look, but it made me look like inspector gadget - so I passed!
As for my face, try not to look at it, I look like I'm about to sneeze! Also this it what happens to my hair when I sleep with it wet.
Mac - ASOS
Scarf - Calvin Klein
T-Shirt - Urban Outfitters
Knee length boots - Topshop

The Winner was.....
Following on from my 'Answers on a postcard' blog, which only the lovely Melanie commented on! Soo I doubt anyone cares what I wore.
But I'm telling you all anyway
I went with the cream.....
Unfortunately I am a complete idiot when getting ready to go out, as always, I didn't leave myself enough time to take any decent photo's. Well I got one, just as the taxi came, but it's stupid,
I was having a massive hair mare, which went on all night, but luckily I came to my senses and I didn't wear the socks with the shoes (thank goodness)
Dress - ASOS
Shoes - Topshop
Socks?! - Miss Selfridge
Bangle - Topshop
The dress was a disaster, it was too tight around my bum but too big around my boobs (tragic?! fat arse and no boobs) so I had to constantly pull it down where it had rode up, plus it just wasn't flattering. I think I'll probably sell it on eBay now, as I'll never wear it again, maybe it's more flattering on someone else!
I also wanted to take a make-up picture but again had no time. So here's one I took on the night! Which is again rubbish, but I feel I owe you guys something
I just went for a light brown smokey eye, double lashes and nude lips. Boring.
So that was it, what an anticlimax!

Filling a hole, and opening another right back up
Last week I went to the dentist, just for an innocent little check up and tooth polish? Sadly not. My dentist found a dreaded hole and also managed to make time for me to have it filled in during the appointment. I have no problem with dentists, fillings or injections. But the three of them together is a little bit overkill. Especially as the injection of local anaesthetic in my gum not only made my cheek and mouth numb, but also my whole neck and tongue. I was like a big slobbering mess, it was tres tragic.
As I was feeling so very sorry for myself, I decided to go shopping. So there we have it, my resolution to save money this year has already crashed and burned. I'd actually sneakily been eyeing up these beauts
River Island £59.99
Let me just give an explanation here. I have been keen on buying a pair of patterned trousers/leggings for a while now but never really gave it much thought in terms of patterns. So I saw these and thought, ah ha! Printed leggings, and proceeded to carry them around the store without trying them on. When I got to the till they happened to, kind of be, still in my hands.......

Or a similar pair from Topshop. I like loafers, especially loafers with heels. But, alas, it was not to be, neither my local River Island or Topshop stocked them, so they'll have to be on the wish list until I shop further afield.
No matter though, because instead I got all this.
Topshop (and a smidge of H&M) haul
......but wait? What's that snakeskin print thing in the corner....a top?.....a scarf?......wait a minute, it's not......is it? YES! It is ladies and gents, that is a pair of bonafide snakeskin print leggings......Oh I see....slowly edges away.

Oh snakeskin leggings , how I want to hate you, but when I put you on you make me feel like doing some kind of crazy interpretive dance, you are so comfy and have given me an illusion of a slightly bigger arse. Which must mean they are magical leggings. Let me just show you my leggings on, so you too can marvel in there glory
Granted they are ridiculous. I have limited options to wear with them and realistically they can't be worn that often without people being like 'oh, there's that nutter again in her snakeskin leggings', plus I dread to think what my boyfriend will say. But they were £22 so I don't care. Even if they never see the light of day I'll still be wearing them for my in room dance sessions.
Conveniently they also match with my new Topshop jacket, kinda seen in the above pictures and here.
If ever a jacket wanted to be leather it's this jacket. So soft, almost buttery. But leather it is not, not for £58 it isn't anyway. This in black leather is my idea jacket, as the shearling detail is removable, but this in beige plastic is pretty nice too. I think I might just keep the tag on for a bit though, I'm a bit scared that I'll find everybody has this jacket, because of the price and the fact I found it in my local Topshop, which isn't very big.
Also in the line up are a pair of ribbed knitted cream over-the-knee socks. I actually want a pair of tights like this but I'm not really having much luck, so these will suffice until I do.
Lastly a felt trilbly style hat, £7.95, H&M, I like that it's plain. And cheap!
So did I get over my filling? Yes, but it left a big hole in my purse!
