Master Cleanse/Lemonade Detox - Day 3

I'm blogging a day behind because it takes me bloody ages to upload videos to youtube!

Feeling really good today, even managed to do a bit of clubbing (no alcohol involved!)

Super happy with the weight loss so far, I haven't weighed myself yet but I can already see I've lost some fat!

Enjoy!

Master Cleanse/Lemonade Detox - Day 2

Video blog for today.

Hungry, but not too bad. Hoping that tomorrow morning won't feel as weak!

I'm not weighing myself everyday, I'll probably do it half way through and then at the end. Not expecting a massive weight loss anyway!

17 - Falsifeye Mascara and Gel Eyeliner

So I wandered into Boots the other day, looking for nothing in particular. When I noted that 17 had a new mascara on display and where offering a free gel eyeliner with the purchase of the mascara. ZING!

My Lancome is fast running out and I needed a new mascara and I always use gel eyeliner. But actually, I needed no excuse, I was going to buy it anyway. Mascara and eyeliner for £6.49 - barg.

I will be honest I am a mascara snob. I often buy drugstore brand mascara, use them a couple of times and revert back to my ever faithful DiorShow and Lancome Hypnose.

Was this mascara any different?

Packaging - Pink, simple, cute. The width of the tube is redic though, really sqaure and massive. It's easy to grip but I had a hard time zipping up my already overflowing make-up bag with it in!

Brush - As you can see the brush it pretty thick - not quite in the same terratory as Benefits Bad Gal, but not far off. Big brushes mean and lashes are coated much quicker and thicker, but smaller lashes can be left out. Because of its size and the fact that it didn't have a tapered end I found it difficult to get into the corners of my eyes.

Results - as you can see from the before and after. Not a huge difference right? Length, pretty much the same, lashes darker, slightly fuller. Not really a night time mascara for that reason. However I did like the fact that the mascara wasn't too 'wet' feeling, I think it would be great for during the day and gave my the feeling of fluttery lashes! It didn't flake during the day and I didn't get any smudging/panda eyes from it.

So would I re-purchase? No, probably not. I have no qualms with it and will continue to use the bottle up, but it doesn't cut it amongst my high-end mascaras. But if your nearing the end of the month, strapped for cash and needing a new mascara then I'd probably say give this one a go, especially with the free gel eyeliner!

Master Cleanse/Lemonade Detox - Day 1

So...

This might be a little bit random but I've decided to go on the Master Cleanse/Lemonade Detox for the next 10 days, and I've decided to do a daily video diary to motivate me and so you guys can see how I'm getting on.

I am terrible at videos so excuse the off lighting, the really quiet sound and the fact that I look like an idiot. It's just much easier talking about something like this rather than writing it down!

Info on the detox can be found here or just by googling 'master cleanser' or 'lemonade detox'

Stats before the detox started

Height - 5.6''
Weight - 119lb or 8st 7lb

Hope you guys enjoy my stupid video!

Another day, another nail

Decided to have a little go at striping/fading my nail polish. More difficult than I first thought and I had to use leopard print to cover up the lines.

Overall in the end, not to shabby, I couldn't decide what colour combo to use so have two different colour nails! It looked kinda cool though, so I kept it on!

Colours used -
Barry M - Pink Flamingo, Indigo, Pure Turquoise and 047 Boot Limited Etd

Do excuse the hideous cuticle work!

Blow Me

Ha. There is someone with the a Ferrari with the number plate 'Blow Me' around where I live. Makes me chuckle - what a douche!

Anyway, this is not a crude post. Just wanted to show the results of my Hershesons visit

I guess you may or may not have heard of Hershesons - depending where you live. It's basically a blow dry bar, but it's based in London. They have a menu of hairstyles that take around 1/2 an hour to do, all costing £24. Generally you don't need to book - but if it was a Friday or Saturday night then I probably would! It's a totally fabby idea, and worth doing if your around London for a night out.

I've had my hair done once before in Hershesons and been please with the results both times, last time I had a B52 - bouffant style with a bit up/bit down and this time I went for the Carlam.

Here are the results

Sorry for the quality of pictures, I got my friend to take some and she is even worse at taking pictures than me, I had to totally overexpose them to be able to see the style!

Anyhoo, some ladies complimented me on my hair and it lasted the whole next day after me sleeping on it too! Win win situation!

Me and my MAC makeover

So I went and had my first every MAC makeover the other day. I've tried to get one done before but I always wanted it on a Saturday or Friday before a night out, and they get super booked up in advanced!!

The story goes that me and my friend were actually supposed to be in Ibiza this week. But when it comes to organising stuff we both suck big time. Apparently you cannot book holidays 2 days in advance, especially holidays to Ibiza, as they are all sold out. DOH!

So instead we decided to spend a night in a spa hotel. As we had also left this to the last minute (see a pattern emerging?), choices were limited, but I did manage to find a a deal to the K-West spa in London.

If you ever are staying in London around the Shepard's Bush area then I would recommend the K-West 100% - not only is it a 5 minute walk from Westfield shopping centre it is also only a 5 minute taxi ride from trendy Notting Hill, and if you love a cocktail, like myself, then Notting Hill is the place to be. In addition to this the spa is pretty fab, tiny, but fab, and has an actual snow room. Yes, an actual room filled with snow. I thought this was amazing and attempted to get many pictures of it, all of which totally failed. Never have I had so much fun in the snow whilst wearing a bikini!

Apparently some people can take pictures in the snow room! (Image)

I got an hours massage thrown in with the package (my friend had the facial) which was really good, and totally relaxing. Treatments are pretty pricey, I guess that's what you expect in London, but there is a huge range, and when you are away you kinda' want to treat yourself anyway!

Anyway, enough plugging for the hotel - I sound like part of there PR team! They're not paying me for this!

After our treatments we hit Westfield, where I had my MAC makeover done.

This is my honest opinon of the makeover, it's a ramble so you can just skip this part and look at the pretty pictures!!

So I got there on time (go me) and waited for the guy to come out, he sat me down, asked where I was going that night and what I was wearing (coral dress). I told him I liked dark brows and eyes and that I wanted to try the new Everhip lipstick. He suggested smokey eyes with a hint of coral and so I kind of let him do his thing. He spent over an hour on my make-up and was so precise with his application!

I decided that didn't want to look the whole way through and so left it till the end to see the result. Honestly when I looked at myself in the mirror I was a bit horrified, I felt I looked really weird - no disrespect to the guy that did my make-up because his blending skills were amazing and his own make-up was flawless. I guess it's just when your used to doing your make-up all the time yourself, it's a bit of a shock to see what someone else does! I think the fact that I didn't go in with any make-up on at all didn't help, therefore the guy had no idea how much make-up I wore on a daily basis (ALOT!) and he didn't actually ask.

Awkwardly he didn't really speak to me the whole time, and I kind of tried to talk but a. felt like he didn't really want to talk to me, and b. found it difficult to start up full blown conversations when I could barely move my face. I kind of got the impression that he thought I was some idiot who knew nothing about make-up, maybe I'm totally wrong and he was just concentrating on his job, like I said I cannot fault him on his make-up skills, and I am a bit of an awkward person to talk to anyway.

Nevertheless here are the results

Pretty amazing blending right? The make-up photographed beautifully and I felt gorgeous and glowy. I loved the conturing and highlighting he did on my face and the lips and eyes complimented each other so well!

I'll be honest though, I added my own false lashes on (really quickly, hence why they are odd and hanging funny!), darkened my brows (like I said, I like dark brows!), added a bit of bronzer and winged my eyeliner out a little bit.

I would totally have another MAC makeover. I may be complaining alot about it but I was actually super happy with the results after my little tweeks! I think if I went again I'd be a bit more specific on what I wanted, maybe keep my make-up on so they had an idea of what products I used and look in the mirror more so I could get an idea of what he did!

I'll go through what I got with my £25 product wise and explain my hair at a later date!

P.s. if you want to know what products he used I can probably hazard a guess!

Swagger Jagger

I love maxi skirts/dresses. They're all swishy swishy when I walk, makes me feel glam. However, being 5ft 6' with stupid long legs, I'm just over average height, meaning that lots of maxi's are just that little too short. So I'm always on the hunt for a extra long styles!

I originally got this skirt a few months ago from H&M but found it a bit difficult to style, so it kind of got left. Anyway I picked it up the other day and had a go.

This is the outfit I came up with

Maxi skirt - H&M
Vest - Topshop
Belt - Primark
Jacket - Topshop
Sandals - KG
Bag - Louis Vuitton

Because it was a little longer I was able to wear it on my waist. By wearing the skirt a little higher and using a waist belt I totally felt like I had some curves. I'll admit that I walked around with a lil' hip swagger. Ha.

Excuse my make-up, it was after a long day. I look a bit 'moon faced'!

Gettin' my kicks, Sugar!

Finally managed to take a picture of me in an actual outfit. I seriously suck at getting pictures!

Went to Sugarhut this weekend. Treated myself to some new kicks.

I love them.

River Island - Love of my life. Stupidly high, surprisingly not too uncomfortable!

Anyway it was a bit of fallen-in-love-with-the-shoes-now-must-find-dress-to-match jobby. Topshop was my last hope. The dress is from there Love consession and whilst I probably wouldn't have chosen it if it weren't for the shoe match, it served its purposed nicely and the orange colour suited my complex rather well.

Do, however ignore the fact that quite possibly my tan on my chest may match the orangness of the dress. WAIT. I can explain, I can explain!!! Unfortunately I managed to get burnt the other week, fake tanned as usual and then my chest started to peel like mad. I thought more fake tanning may help the situation, with an added dusting of bronzer. It did not. #FAIL

Dress - Love @ Topshop
Belt - Topshop (old)
Bangle - Topshop
Shoes - River Island

Nailed it....

I still don't have anything exciting to blog about. But here are a few pictures of nail art I've been doing recently. I'm getting better, but still room for improvement and my nails still chip like a bitch!

Apologies for the picture quality - they are all iPhone jobbies!

Taken at Wireless Festival!

Bourjois - Lime Catwalk
Random ring finger dots

Ring - River Island

Trying to distract myself from the gym - note the awful cuticles! Plus I only painted one hand!

Barry M - Pink Flamingo
China Glaze - White on White

Sorry so blurry - but I was really happy with this leopard print attempt!

China Glaze - White on White
Topshop - Bees Knees

Seche Vite makes this look super super glossy!

Winning Formula

As I continue to be a rubbish blogger with nothing to blog about. I couldn't contain my excitement when this little parcel popped through my letterbox this morning.

Now it doesn't take much to stump me at 9 o'clock in the morning, but when I saw the parcel I was like 'huh?'

I mentally racked my brain for a recent eBay order that I haven't received or something, but came out with a blank (part of the reason I haven't blogged, because I am saving and therefore have not spend money on anything exciting!).

So I was pretty excited to rip it open, to find this.......

No note, note explanation. Still stumped. I am eternally grateful for body lotion, but why would someone sent me this?

After a few minutes pondering, I could only come up with one explanation. I MUST HAVE WON IT. I am the most unluckiest person in the world, I literally have only won a compition once in my life, and that was a colouring competition at school aged around 7. So it's been a long gap.

My entering competitions probably stems back from this forum, I'd logged on there for some info on something or another (probably an ASOS discount codes knowing me) and I'd been mystified at the fact everyone seemed to have a list of things they'd won at the bottom of there post. Good stuff n'all. I was like 'where are these magical winnings coming from?' I want in.

After a bit of delving I came across this. A actual forum of people that enter competitions like crazy people daily. Amazing right? Obviously I wanted to be part of it but I kind of baulked at the suggestion to entering between 100-200 competitions a day.

Anyway I did start entering some competitions when they came my way, from emails and stuff.

I can only deduce that this particular win came from a Glamour competition in May where they give away different prizes everyday.

Needless to say I am extremely happy with my win. I already had a bottle of this moisturiser that had just about ran out, so it came at a great time. Pretty happy. Although I don't think I'll become a full time 'comper' I still reckon I'll enter a few more!

Thanks Glamour!

June wins: One bottle Garnier Body moisturiser.
